My goal with massage is to create space to heal for those suffering from anxiety and chronic pain, especially those suffering from headaches. I use multiple modalities to achieve results; working with each client to tailor the massage session to their individual needs.

Modalities Include; Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Sports, Trigger Point and Hot Stone Massage.

In the Hatha tradition, yogasana is defined as a steady comfortable posture, these postures help open energy channels and allow the practitioner control of their mind & body. My focus is on balanced movement and touch, we hold poses a bit longer and I may incorporate massage techniques to help open up an area of your body during the session.

Thai massage

Thai massage uses a combination of compression, sen-line work, and yoga-like stretching for deep therapeutic healing. Thai massage generally uses no oils or lotions, getting at the fascia and deep tissue layers of the body. A Thai massage recipient remains clothed during the treatment, which is done on a comfortable mat on the floor. Again, each massage is tailored to the clients individual needs.

I received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate in 2012 from Yoga Vidya Gurukul in India and graduated from the East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland OR in 2014. In the spring of 2016 I began my Thai massage studies from Homprang Chaleekanha at the Baan Hom Samunphrai in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

After spending most of my life suffering from chronic headache pain, I have finally been able to control my headaches through a consistent yoga practice and receiving regular massage. I want to share that relief with those around me.

Architecture and design are my first loves and I spent the last 10 years striving to provide functional inspiring design to those who would not normally have that opportunity. I’ve recently moved to the Detroit area from Portland, OR and have been spending my time getting to know my new home and hanging out with my family…who I missed immensely while living in Portland. I spend a lot of time reading bad sci-fi, steam punk and fantasy books, and re-discovering the Great Lakes.

I received a full body massage from Cassandra that left me relaxed, tension free, and with full mobility (!) in my usually painfully tight hips and neck. She carefully assessed my trouble spots prior to the massage, and gave thorough attention to them with just the right amount of pressure. Her flow and pacing were perfect and really helped me to relax and focus on the experience.

After the massage, Cassandra gave me some stretching tips to help increase my flexibility and reduce tension in targeted areas.

I would highly recommend her work to anyone seeking relief from tension, chronic pain, or if you just need relaxing and rejuvenating body work. I feel amazing and can't wait for my next appointment!

Cassandra is a wonderful massage therapist! She is kind, intuitive, friendly and professional. In our first session, she was comprehensive in clarifying my medical history and asking about my needs before the massage, and throughout each session she was great about asking how I was doing, if she was providing the right amount of pressure, etc.

I had a fantastic massage with Cassandra! She asked enough questions to know what I was looking for, but didn't waste precious time I could be on the table. She checked in regularly about how much pressure I wanted, or if anything was too painful. My whole body felt better, and the headache I had for the last week diminished. She was professional and yet still warm and personable. I'll be back!
